Webinar Description
This session focuses on optimal, precise CPT coding in dermatologic surgery. Situations that may lead to coding/reporting uncertainty will be illustrated and resolved with explanations of pertinent CPT definitions and concepts. These are supplemented with examples of real life challenging coding scenarios. 

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Accurately report CPT codes for dermatologic procedures.
  • Pinpoint potential pitfalls in CPT coding for dermatologic surgery and be able to avoide them.
  • Avoid situtations that may lead to insurance audits.

Alexander Miller, MD
Dr. Miller is Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California Irvine. He also runs his private practice in Yorba Linda and Newport Beach, California. He is an AAD Advisor to the AMA-CPT Advisory Committee.
